Properties
Silica is a chemically stable inorganic synthetic material. It has long been used in cosmetics because
there is no irritation to skin.
Silica is essentially transparent, colorless and promote a high degree of slip during and after
application. The skin feel is generally lubricious in nature.
Morpholgically the silica could be classified into three classes, sphericlal, planarised, and needle
types. Spherical silica imparts exceptional lubricity to loose and pressed powder products. The effect
is increased 'play time' and a luxurious feel.
In our company spherical products with mean particle size between 3 to 10 have been marketed
which scatter light on the surface of its particle, ie which are transparent, but give natural overage on
skin.

SiLight 3M
- Hollow type, high bulk density, small size, oil absorption is higher than SiLight 6M
- Not become transparent but white color of material itself is maintained when wetted in oil.
- Adhesion power is highest due to its small size
- Light diffusing effect and hiding effect of skin pores
- Suitable for providing soft and silky feeling to products

SiLight 6M
- Hollow type, high bulk density
- White color of material itself is maintained when wetted in oil.
- Better spreadabilty and lower adhesion power than SiLight 3M
- Suitable for anti-caking agent

SiLight 10M
- Hollow and multi-porous, very light due to its low bulk density
- Suitable for additive or perfume carrier due to its high oil absorption
- Best spreadability, provides very soft feeling to skin
- Transparent feeing and light-eliminating effect when wetted in oil due to its shallow
- surface thickness and porous structure
- Suitable for the payoff control of pressed-type product
